NOTE: DJ in the Park is tonight and we will also have food vendors taking pre-orders as well as be on location. It is highly recommended that you pre-order for Hank’s Monster Munchies and you must pre-order for Billsburg Brewery. Sweet Frog will be here and does not require pre-orders. See below for pre-order information.

We had a neighbor reach out to us and setup Anthony Lee Wood Entertainment to come to the VGCA Park Sunday, May 24th 4-7pm. He will provide family friendly DJ services. Come on out and enjoy a fun filled evening with your family. There will be a “tip jar” for the DJ if you would like to contribute.

Please remember to continue to practice social distancing while picking up orders or listening to the DJ in the park.

Disregard the date and time on your order as they said they will get it to us on Sunday around 5pm.

Great day and evening up at the park.

In the early afternoon we had some young neighborhood volunteers help get the park ready for the Village Green Supporting Local Saturday event. Thank you!

The weather cooled off and we had a nice breeze blowing through VGCA Park which made it a great place to pitch a chair, relax, enjoy friends and neighbors, and have some great food and beverages.

Chicken Stop and Oozlefinch were our vendors for this week and they were great! Both businesses owners were happy to be serving Village Green and were very pleased with the outpouring of support. I was too busy enjoying the evening and forgot to take some pics…so I only have a couple of pics from the event.

We are looking to setup another event for Sunday, May 24th with a DJ and possibly another food truck. Details to come soon!

Please come on out between 4-7pm today, May 16th and enjoy the food, support local, and enjoy some time with our neighborhood. Remember to practice social distancing, but enjoy the beautiful weather and make some new connections in the neighborhood!

All pre-orders must be in by 4pm today, but you can order in person from Chicken Stop. Oozlefinch must be pre-ordered. See below for additional details on ordering.

The Chicken Stop food truck will be at the park this afternoon/evening. You can still pre-order your food. Just be sure to put “Village Green Park on May 16th” in the Notes field while ordering. You don’t have to pre-order but it helps the food vendor if you do.

Oozlefinch will be delivering their beer as well, but this must be ordered online beforehand. When checking out, please change from Shipping to Delivery and choose 713 Village Green Pkwy in the address and put in “Village Green Park on May 16th” in the box that asks “where to leave the order and how to contact you”.

2020 VGCA membership drive has begun and forms are being delivered

Volunteers in the neighborhood will be delivering the VGCA 2020 Membership forms to your door over the next few days. Please be on the look out for it and help support our neighborhood!

The common areas under the power lines, the park, the playground, the pool, and the clubhouse all belong to the VGCA.  These assets help increase property value but more importantly help make Village Green a wonderful neighborhood to live in.

We have an online payment solution again this year and will accept cash/check too.

Interested in being a Lifeguard at the VGCA Pool?

High Sierra Pools is our pool management company and as part of our contract, we have requested that our pool be staffed with neighborhood lifeguards.

HRA pool usage this summer

As in years past, Hampton Roads Academy will be using our pool on Tuesdays and Thursday from June 16 through August 20 between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. We will have an extra lifeguard on staff during those two hours and have capped the number of campers to 50 swimmers this year. The funds made from this agreement help pay for the operation of the pool.

Village Green Block Party

Come out on February 22nd to enjoy a neighborhood block party. There will be hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, games, clowns, a DJ, and bounce houses for the kids. There is no cost and ALL Village Green neighbors are welcome to attend.
