We need your help…

VGCA would like for our new stairs to last as long as they can, so we are asking that members let their children, grandchildren, and guests know that these stairs are for our younger swimmers as well as swimmers who are not able to use the ladder.

We still have all 4 ladders in the pool and one is located within 6 feet of this one so I am requesting that all able-bodied children and adults continue to use the ladders instead of the stairs.

Thank you.

Pool prep continues…join the pool!

Our pool management company took the cover off and is draining the pool so they can clean it and begin to fill it.

Your very own neighbors have been working hard to make sure this season is a great season. Today, the Woodruff boys and a few of their friends helped pressure wash the pool deck. Make sure you join VGCA and join as a VGCA Rec Member so you can enjoy our beautiful pool.

This is the spirit of Village Green…

At 4pm today, Debi Henderson put me in touch with her daughter, Leanne, who works with Great Wolf Lodge. They recently replaced their pool furniture and had the “old” (better shape than our old stuff) furniture slated to be trashed. It was first come first serve.

Debi and Pat Henderson, Ken Charbonneua, Danny Jones, Amy Nuttal, and Connor and Donnie Woodruff jumped into action and less that 3 hours later we had a bunch of pool furniture to help make this a great pool season. Gary Wilson loaned Donnie his truck so we had a convoy of 5 trucks that made the hike up to Great Wolf Lodge. Leanne who is 8+ months pregnant even gave us a hand.

This is the amazing spirit we have in Village Green!

This saved us over $1500 (easily) as it was completely free except for the time and effort (and gas) that our neighbors provided. The amazing thing…is that Connor and Donnie are the only ones of the convoy that use the pool. Others are pool members but just don’t use it.

Help support our neighborhood and join VGCA and while you are at it join the pool by choosing VGCA Rec Membership. https://vgnn.org/join

THANK YOU to all that helped tonight!

Need volunteers to install two new doors for VGCA

To wrap up the replacement of our exterior doors at the clubhouse, we need a few volunteers to install these doors before May 4, 2019. Sign up here: https://vgnn.org/volunteer-opportunity/need-two-new-doors-installed/

VGCA Clubhouse Spring cleaning was a success…look for yourself.

Thanks to the Woodruffs and the Wilsons for helping out. Their children and another from the neighborhood had fun cleaning out and organizing the storage area in the clubhouse. It looks the best it has in several years. THANK YOU!

Need a few volunteers to give us a hand in March

There are a couple of dates in March we need help getting the clubhouse ready for the Spring and Summer busy season. Please take a moment to check out the volunteer page and signup to give us a hand.

7.5 acres of land in Village Green

Did you know that VGCA owns approximately 7.5 acres in our neighborhood? On that land we have a clubhouse, pool, basketball court, playground equipment, park benches, picnic tables, grills, and split-rail fencing along the neighborhood cut throughs in the inner loops.

Take a nice relaxing ride (on the VG lawnmower) on some of the 7.5 acres VGCA owns while helping maintain our land. As an example, it takes about 1.5 hours to cut the section near Crown Point and needs to be done every 2 weeks during the growing season.

We are looking for as many volunteers we can get and can assign a week or two for you to cut sections on both sides of the Green. The more volunteers the easier it is on all of us to maintain.
