We will need about 15 strong individuals to help us remove the pool cover on Monday, April 24 at 645pm.

Please be prompt as we will start right at 645pm and it only takes 10 mins to do.

2023 VGCA Pool Season

We will be self managing again this year, so we will have the freedom to make some of the changes to our pool season.

We are looking to do the following:

  • Hours will be very similar to last year:
    • Tuesday-Friday and Sunday 1pm-8pm (for 1st half of the season)
    • Saturday 11am-6pm
  • Open on Mondays if membership rates meet goals:
    • 90 VGCA Rec/Pool memberships and we will open on Mondays thru July 3.
    • 100 VGCA Rec/Pool memberships and we will open on Mondays for the entire season.
  • Concession stand will be open during breaks.
    • Sell pre-packaged foods, snacks, and drinks.
    • Staffed by young volunteers.
    • All proceeds will go to improvements made to the VGCA Clubhouse kitchen remodel.
  • HRA will be using our pool on Tues/Thurs from 1:30-3:30pm BUT will be limited to 30 HRA swimmers per hour.
  • Swim team will have meets against other pools on these evenings:
    • Fri, June 16 — pool closed at 430pm for open swim.
    • Mon, June 19 — pool closed at 430pm for open swim.
    • Mon, June 26 — pool closed at 430pm for open swim.

Please note:  we will monitor usage of the early Saturday hours and concession stand usage and adjust accordingly as the summer progresses.

VGCA Membership Drive 2023

The Village Green Community Association membership drive is under way – be sure to join in our summer fun this year by joining the neighborhood Association and Pool! Pool memberships will remain at the same low rates they have been for years. The pool has always been the heart of the neighborhood, especially for our children, and this summer will be no different. The swim team will be hitting the water in June, and the snack bar which is managed by our VG youth will be new and improved.

Our VGCA Events Coordinator also has many events planned for youth and adults.  Help support those events and the maintenance of our park and common areas for just $75 a year (pool memberships are more).

5 free one-time use pools will be provided to those who register for pool memberships by April 30th.  Get your passes now!

Membership flyers were delivered in March.  You may fill out the flyer and return it to the green mailbox at 625 Brandywine, or you can link to the online membership form and pay via Paypal (fees apply).

VGCA membership: May movie night

We are excited to start the movies in the park season off with OVER THE HEDGE. Please bring your family for some relaxing fun May 13th 7:30PM. Popcorn upon RSVP will be provided please bring your own chairs. See yall there!

VGCA Spring Clean Up March 25 @ 9am

When: 

  • Saturday, March 25
  • 9-11am

What:

  • Clean up the pool deck.
  • Blow leaves away from pool fence.
  • Pick up trash and cut down overgrown brush on VGCA property under the power lines.
  • Clean out and organize the clubhouse storage area (clean out the refrigerator too).

Items needed:

  • Leaf blowers
  • Rakes
  • Gloves and long pants due to tall brush.

This is a great opportunity for the high school students to get service hours.  There is trash that has been dumped in the tall brush under the power lines that will need to be removed prior to the brush hog being used.

We will be renting a brush hog unless someone can provide one for us to use.

VGCA Easter events and donations

We will now be taking egg and candy donations to the porch of 657 VGP! Any and all will help THANK YOU!
VGCA Easter Egg Hunt will be held 11AM April 8th, we will have age groups so the littles have fun too. PLEASE show up at 10AM if you can help HIDE EGGS. YAY for spring see yall there!
