Park/pool raking event was a success!

We had quite a few volunteers come out today and from their hard work, we were able to get the park and pool areas cleaned up.

We have mountains of leaves near the front of Village Green, so please be careful when turning onto VGP.

Thank you to all of those that helped. You truly make this a wonderful neighborhood to live in!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The VGCA Board would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope to see many of you on Saturday, Nov 30 @ 9am for our leaf raking event.

Here are a few pics from our lovely neighborhood during this time a year.

Thanksgiving Impact on City Services

Garbage, recycling and bulk waste collections will be delayed the week of December 2nd.

Village Green will have their pickup on Tuesday, December 3rd next week.

Leaf raking — Nov 30 @ 9am

It’s that time a year… The City plans to pickup leaves Dec 2-13 and then again in early January. We will need many volunteers to make short work on the park and pool leaf cleanup. Bring rakes, tarps, and/or blowers to help us. Sign up here for Nov 30 as we plan to have donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate that morning.

If there are folks who are available to rake during the week, please feel free to begin Nov 20th or later. Please leave about 12-18 inches along the curb so rain water can head to the sewer unimpeded.

Tech Center Parkway Extension Phase II Project Response to Public Comments

On July 23rd, several Village Green neighbors and two VGCA Board members attended the Citizens Information Meeting on the Hogan Drive Extension Phase II which was recapped here.

Shortly after the meeting, the VGCA Board put our concerns and ideas in writing and provided them to the City’s Engineering Department. The City has responded and their response can be viewed on this link (in PDF format).

For those interested in the street conditions in Village Green and when they are planned to be resurfaced, please see pages 3-5 in the PDF.
