NOTE: DJ in the Park is tonight and we will also have food vendors taking pre-orders as well as be on location. It is highly recommended that you pre-order for Hank’s Monster Munchies and you must pre-order for Billsburg Brewery. Sweet Frog will be here and does not require pre-orders. We had a neighbor reach out to us and setup Anthony Lee Wood Entertainment to come to the VGCA Park Sunday, May 24th 4-7pm. He will provide family friendly DJ services. Come on out and enjoy a fun filled evening with your family. There will be a “tip jar” for the DJ if you would like to contribute.
Please remember to continue to practice social distancing while picking up orders or listening to the DJ in the park.

For the adults, Billsburg Brewery out of Williamsburg will be delivering online orders to Village Green Park.
ORDER INSTRUCTIONS: Order here and be certain to choose Curbside Pickup indicate “Sunday Village Green Delivery” in the “Tell how to recognize you” section as well as the “Note to seller” at checkout. Disregard the date and time on your order as they said they will get it to us on Sunday around 5pm.
Our food truck for Sunday will be Frank’s Monster Munchies.

In the early afternoon we had some young neighborhood volunteers help get the park ready for the Village Green Supporting Local Saturday event. Thank you!
The weather cooled off and we had a nice breeze blowing through VGCA Park which made it a great place to pitch a chair, relax, enjoy friends and neighbors, and have some great food and beverages.
Chicken Stop and Oozlefinch were our vendors for this week and they were great! Both businesses owners were happy to be serving Village Green and were very pleased with the outpouring of support. I was too busy enjoying the evening and forgot to take some pics…so I only have a couple of pics from the event.
We are looking to setup another event for Sunday, May 24th with a DJ and possibly another food truck. Details to come soon!

All pre-orders must be in by 4pm today, but you can order in person from Chicken Stop. Oozlefinch must be pre-ordered. See below for additional details on ordering.
The Chicken Stop food truck will be at the park this afternoon/evening. You can still pre-order your food. Just be sure to put “Village Green Park on May 16th” in the Notes field while ordering. You don’t have to pre-order but it helps the food vendor if you do.
Oozlefinch will be delivering their beer as well, but this must be ordered online beforehand. When checking out, please change from Shipping to Delivery and choose 713 Village Green Pkwy in the address and put in “Village Green Park on May 16th” in the box that asks “where to leave the order and how to contact you”.
Due to the rain Friday and Saturday, we will need to move the leaf raking for the park to Sunday afternoon 1-3pm.
My family has been sick all week, so it’s unlikely we will be able to make it. Hopefully we can get 10-15 volunteers with rakes, blowers (too wet?), and tarps to get the final cleanup completed.
The City plans to do the final leaf pickup beginning January 6th.

The City plans to do the final leaf pickup beginning January 6th. We will need many volunteers to make short work on the park/pool leaf cleanup. Bring rakes, tarps, and/or blowers to help us. Most of the leaves were raked/blown in late November, but we still have some cleanup to do on the leaves that fell since then.
We hope to have many volunteers to make short/easy work for all. We plan to do it from 9am-12pm on Saturday, January 4th.
If anyone wants to get started earlier, please feel free to rake/blow them to the front and leave 18-24″ from the curb for rainwater drainage.

We plan to hang ornaments on the VGCA Christmas tree, bows and garland on the Village Green sign, and lights on the tree and bushes near the park.
Bring a dish and your holiday spirit and give us a hand decorating the entrance by the park. VGCA will provide the holiday music, lights, decorations, and hot chocolate for the event.
Dress warm as we will be working outside.

We had quite a few volunteers come out today and from their hard work, we were able to get the park and pool areas cleaned up.
We have mountains of leaves near the front of Village Green, so please be careful when turning onto VGP.

It’s that time a year… The City plans to pickup leaves Dec 2-13 and then again in early January. We will need many volunteers to make short work on the park and pool leaf cleanup. Bring rakes, tarps, and/or blowers to help us. Sign up here for Nov 30 as we plan to have donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate that morning.
If there are folks who are available to rake during the week, please feel free to begin Nov 20th or later. Please leave about 12-18 inches along the curb so rain water can head to the sewer unimpeded.
