Concessions sold nearly $1200 in food and drinks. They turned a profit of $370. The profit has gone to help fund the concrete pour on the pool deck (removing bricks) and rental of a bobcat skid steer to clear the VGCA tennis courts of debris.
3 lifeguards called the VGCA Pool their “first job” and learned a lot.
We had over 100 VGCA Rec/Pool members for the 2nd year in a row.
We were open 7 days a week and had extended hours on Saturdays and holidays.
Countless hours of fun and many children improved their swimming skills or learned how to swim.
Thank you to all the VGCA Rec/Pool members, volunteers, and our lifeguards who made this a great season. I am already looking forward to next season and the new group of lifeguards to call the pool their “first job”.
NOTE: Pool covering is tentatively scheduled for Sept 19 at 615pm. We will need about 12-15 strong teenagers/adults to give us a hand.
